Tehran, Iran, Apr. 14 - Iran announced on Sunday that a meeting scheduled to take place on Monday between the head of its nuclear agency and the chief of the United Nations nuclear watchdog has been postponed.

Gholamreza Aghazadeh, who heads the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, was set to hold talks with Mohamed ElBaradei in Vienna where the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is situated.

The official news agency IRNA announced late on Sunday that the meeting had been postponed to "another appropriate time".

No reason was given as to why the meeting was put off.
