London, 24 Jul - Iran is home to one of the world's oldest continuous major civilizations, with historical and urban settlements dating back to 7000 BC. The southwestern and western part of the Iranian Plateau participated in the traditional Ancient Near East with Elam, from the Early Bronze Age, and later with various other peoples, such as the Kassites, Mannaeans, and Gutians. Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel names the Persians as the first Historical People. The Medes unified Iran as a nation and empire in 625 BC. The Achaemenid Empire (550–330 BC), founded by Cyrus the Great, was the first of the Persian empires to rule from the Balkans to North Africa and also Central Asia, spanning three continents, from their seat of power in Persis (Persepolis). It was the largest empire yet seen and the first world empire.

London, 6 Jul - The water supply in Iran has now reached an ultra critical level according to the Ministry of Energy’s Water and Wastewater Planning Office (WWPO).

Hedayat Fahmi, the Deputy Director of the WWPO, said that Iran has now used up nearly 90% of its renewable water resources meaning that the country is at serious risk of drought and other environmental crises.

London, 16 Jun - Iran is plagued by widespread land subsidence thanks to the poor policies of the Iranian Regime, which have been described by one commentator as “anti-people and anti-national”.

Mahmoud Hakamian, who wrote a piece on the subject for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), revealed that the subsidence is so severe that it has reduced many building’s earthquake resistance to only a level 4 quake on the Richter scale.

The Regime policies threaten to damage infrastructure (including bridges, roads, and railways), water and gas lines, electricity pylons, telephone poles, farmlands and wells (which would further the water shortage).

London, 27 Jun - The number of people suffering from drug addiction in Iran has more than doubled since 2011, according to a survey by a drug control group.

This figure is based on a survey by Iran’s Drug Control Organisation, which found that around 2.8 million Iranians are regularly consuming drugs.

However, the real figures could be much higher according to an expert on addiction in Iran.

London, 9 Jun - The Governor of Chabahar in Southeastern province of Sistan & Baluchestan, confessed that 79% of the 283 thousands of inhabitants are deprived of water supply network.

The appointed governor of Chabahar on Tuesday, June 6 admitted to the deteriorating situation of people in this area while stating, "400 villages of this city lack water network system and the drinking water of the residents is maintained with tankers.
