EU expresses concern over Iran missile tests PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 11 July 2008

ImagePARIS, July 11 (Reuters) - The European Union raised concerns on Friday over Iran's announcement this week that it conducted missile tests, and stepped up calls on it to suspend uranium enrichment within its disputed nuclear programme.

"These missile tests can only reinforce the international community's concerns," the French presidency of the EU said in a statement.

Earlier, Iran's official IRNA news agency said Tehran's top nuclear negotiator would meet EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana in Geneva on July 19 for talks, a date the EU has not confirmed. (Reporting by Francois Murphy; writing by Mark John)
