Tehran, Iran, Apr. 09 - Iran’s national soccer team dropped ten places in the FIFA world rankings in March after poor results against Bahrain and Kuwait, the state-owned news agency Mehr reported on Wednesday.
The team, currently being coached by former national team captain Ali Daei, now ranks 51st on the list.
It lost 1-0 to Bahrain last month in a friendly and had a 2-2 draw with Kuwait in Group Five of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Argentina topped FIFA’s world soccer rankings for the month of March, followed by Brazil, Italy, and Spain.
