Tehran, Iran, Feb. 24 – Iran has attained “significant success” in its standoff with the West over its controversial nuclear program, a senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said on Sunday.
Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces, said that the “enemies” were frightened of Iran. "We should take their threats seriously", he said.
His remarks were reported by the official news agency IRNA.
Zahedi said that United States forces were currently bogged down in Iraq.
