Radio Farda

The Islamic government has heightened its campaign against violations of the Islamic dress code, as more women appear in Tehran and other major cities dressed in tighter overcoats, displaying the curves of their bodies in violation of the Islamic dress code, according to a dispatch from Tehran by the Deutsche Presse-Agentur. In the article, a fashion shop owner in Tehran has been quoted as saying the Islamic government may overcome the US, but it will never succeed in telling Iranian women what to wear.
