Tehran, Iran, Jan. 24 – Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator spoke on the telephone with the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Tuesday, the official news agency IRNA reported.

Ali Larijani, the secretary general of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), held talks with IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei, IRNA quoted a “reliable source” as saying. It did not disclose the details of the conversation.

The latest round of talks comes a day after Tehran announced that it had banned 38 IAEA investigators from entering the country.
