Tehran, Iran, Dec. 17 – At least four people were injured as a passenger train derailed near the central Iranian city of Kashan early on Sunday, state media reported.

A statement by the Public Relations Office of State Railways carried by the official news agency IRNA said that the train was heading north to the Iranian capital Tehran from the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

The train derail in Dehnad Station, 30 kilometres from Kashan, at 8.05 am local time.

At least four people were slightly injured, the report said, adding that they were taking to a nearby hospital.
