The Iranian Ministry of Health has been pushed into the spotlight recently because of the coronavirus’ rapid spread in the country, coupled with a severe shortage of drugs and medical equipment.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced on Sunday that the Health Ministry has named roughly 127 cities that are supposedly virus-free (white) where religious sites will reopen in early May (mid-Ramadan).
In an interview with the state-run T.V. Channel Two, Dr. Hossein Erfani, the head of Iran’s Health Ministry Disease Management, warned about coronavirus infections among Iranian children. On May 16, he said that skin inflammation, severe fever, and gastrointestinal symptoms are likely to indicate infection with the coronavirus. “Theoretically, the coronavirus is likely to be effective in this issue,” Erfani said.
For more than 40 years the ayatollahs impounded Iran’s national wealth and spent it for either suppression inside the country or aggression abroad. They also deprived over 90 percent of the society of welfare and comfortable life. However, officials claimed that “We have no authority!”
