London, 4 Jun - The Iranian presidential elections have ended and President Hassan Rouhani is starting his second term. It is difficilut to see what way Iran is heading with regards to its domestic and foreign policy.

Some are wondering whether Iran is going to finally start engaging in the international community seeing as Rouhani has been re-elected. At the end of last month, the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, said: “There are those who are concerned a state and its people should have global relations, and I completely agree.”

London, 4 May - Squaring off with Iran, Syria and North Korea, the Trump administration has indicated that the years of appeasement with dictators have ended, according to a new op-ed carried by the Washington Examiner.

Tehran is beginning to understand these policy changes from the United States, and it follows that Trump should also target Iran's human rights violations.

For the Iranian opposition members trapped in Camp “Liberty”, near Baghdad Airport, the name of their tiny compound has become a sick joke. These refugees are the final remnants of a substantial community numbering almost 4000, that occupied a vast sprawling enclave called Camp Ashraf, 60 miles north of Baghdad in Diyala Province. They fled to Iraq following a vicious pogrom in the 1980’s which saw over 120,000 of their People’s Mojahedin's Organisation of Iran (PMOI) movement executed by the theocratic Iranian regime. They built Camp Ashraf into a large, thriving city with parks, streets, factories, a library, museum, university and accommodation and they lived there in harmony with the local Iraqi population.

London, 10 Jul - According to Candice Malcolm’s July 8 Opinion piece in the Toronto Sun, “The only way to make peace with Iran, according to the Obama administration, is appease its cruel and authoritarian government.  The alternative, according to the White House, would be increased hostility and perhaps even war.  Under this dichotomy, U.S. President Barack Obama has extended an olive branch to America’s longtime adversary.”
