The shift in US policy on Iran has been unmistakable. After years of conciliation and appeasement – not just under the Obama administration but at various points throughout the 38-year history of the Islamic Republic – President Donald Trump is spearheading a committed strategy of confrontation and assertiveness, which serves to expose the depths of the Iranian regime’s violence and contempt for human rights.

As Iran and North Korea are collaborating closely on a number of military and nuclear issues, it only makes sense to impose equal sanctions against both nations, according to a human rights activist.

Heshmat Alavi wrote an op-ed for the Raddington Report, entitled Sanctioning the Terrible Twosome, in which he advised that their deep collaboration makes it hard to deal separately with the threats that they pose.

Iran is already one of the most censorship heavy regimes in the world, but their people still defy them on a daily basis to speak out against unjust laws, the slaughter of innocents, and the importance of freedom and democracy.

Recently, one Iranian minister hinted that the Regime may be in bed with social media companies in order to subvert the privacy of the Iranian people.

In a congress chaired by Ms. Zohreh Akhyani, the Secretary General since 2011.The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, PMOI/MEK, (the Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK) held its annual Congress simultaneously in Tirana and five other countries. On the PMOI/MEK’s 52nd anniversary, the Congress elected Ms. Zahra Merrikhi as its new Secretary General.
