London, 19 Mar - The meeting between US President Donald Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince is due to take place shortly. Their discussions will place emphasis on finding a solution to curb Iran’s belligerence across the Middle East. It is also expected that much will be said about the US position with regards to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

London, 17 Mar - If Iran develops nuclear weapons, then Saudi Arabia will do the same, according to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi's defence chief and heir to the throne.

In an interview with CBS news on Thursday, Prince Mohammed said: "Saudi Arabia does not want to acquire any nuclear bomb, but without a doubt if Iran developed a nuclear bomb, we will follow suit as soon as possible."

This has confirmed long-held fears by the international community that if Iran developed a nuclear weapon, it would spark a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

London, 15 Mar - In an interview set to air on this Sunday's "60 Minutes" Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told "CBS This Morning" co-host Norah O’Donnell that if Iran successfully develops its own nuclear weapon, Saudi Arabia will quickly obtain a nuclear bomb.

This is the first U.S. television network interview since 2005 with a Saudi leader. O'Donnell, a contributing correspondent for "60 Minutes," asked the 32-year-old heir to the Saudi throne about the political, economic and social reforms unfolding in his kingdom.

London, 16 Mar - Donald Trump made clear that he is focused on the threat posed by Iran, in his comments following the sacking of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Trump said: "When you look at the Iran deal, I thought it was terrible, he thought it was OK. I wanted to either break it or do something. He felt a little differently."

This is especially telling when you consider that the deadline for fixing the flaws to the Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), is now less than two months away, on May 12.

London, 09 Mar - Iran is currently building up its ballistic missile programme and raising concern about the possibility of a “second Holocaust", whilst the Donald Trump administration is undertaking sensitive international negotiations, according to sources familiar with the ongoing diplomatic talks.

The US and Europe are currently discussing potential fixes to the flaws of the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal, but sources report that the Trump administration may be about to agree to fewer restrictions on Iran's ballistic missile programme than they wanted to, in order to preserve the deal and appease Europe who still wants to trade with Iran.
