London, Dec. 06 The leader of an Iraqi political group cited Iranian meddling in Iraq and said that a movement was underway to prevent fundamentalists from taking over the country, during an interview with the al-Arabiya news channel.
There are two occupying forces in Iraq at the moment. The United States occupying force is obvious and they might leave in a day or two, but Iraq is in reality occupied by Iran and the danger is that this is not an obvious occupation, Dr. Mazhar al-Dulaimi, President of the Society for the Defence of Iraqi Peoples Rights, told the news network on Sunday.
This occupation operates through some groups in Iraq that are affiliated with Iran and that work under the guise of religion, al-Dulaimi said.
The Iraqi politician said that there was an effort by all sectors of Iraqi society, including Sunni, secular Shiites, and Kurds, to block the road against fundamentalist, religious groups and those who are affiliated with the outside, especially with Iran.
