TEHRAN, Nov 29, 2006 (AFP) – Iran’s hardline president on Wednesday called on US forces to leave Iraq “to save whatever reputation they have left”, at a joint media conference with visiting Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.

“I advise you to leave Iraq to save whatever reputation you have left. Leave the responsibilities to Iraqi officials according to a timetable as the Iraqi government wants,” President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, as Talabani wrapped up a three-day visit to Iran.
