Speaking with Irans state-run news agency, Sedigheh Maleki, Khastars wife, said that her husband was interviewed a number of times following the meeting in Rasht and finally taken to court. There, she said, despite no official charges having been stated, the Mashhad court ordered that he should remain in jail until due evidence was found to charge him with.
