Tehran, Iran, Dec. 02 An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale shook parts of the province of East Azerbaijan, in the vicinity of the provincial capital Tabriz, on Sunday.
The quake jolted the district of Basmanj at 13:29 local time (09:59 GMT), the government-owned news agency Fars said.
Panicking residents poured into the streets following the tremor, the fourth in 24 hours. Earlier, three quakes measuring 3.9, 4.6 and 3.4 on the Richter scale had jolted Tabriz.
There were no reports of casualties or damages; however, schools have been closed for fears of further tremors.
