Tehran, May 18 – Four students of the University of Science and Industry in Tehran have had their sentences increased because of their political activity.

Puya Sharifi was expelled from the university and banned from studying at any university in the country for five years. Three others received four-semester suspensions, which will lead to their expulsion: Hamid-Reza Sahrayi, Ali Asadollahi and Sajad Darvish.

All four had been previously referred to the Central Committee of the Science Ministry nine months ago.
