Iran Focus: Tehran, Jun. 15 – Following unrest in Tehran over the weekend, marking the anniversary of last summer’s anti-government protests, security agents have been stationed outside the main entrance to the University of Tehran on Enqelab Street. The university’s gate remained closed on Tuesday.

Tehran, Jun. 15 – Following unrest in Tehran over the weekend, marking the anniversary of last summer’s anti-government protests, security agents have been stationed outside the main entrance to the University of Tehran on Enqelab Street. The university’s gate remained closed on Tuesday.
Units of the State Security Force (police), equipped with anti-riot gear, have been stationed east of Azadi Square.
Elsewhere, some 200 security agents were setting up barricades at the entrance of Tehran’s main cemetery, Behesht-e Zahra.
In other news, in the north-eastern city of Mashhad, following evening prayers on Monday in Mashhad Goharshad mosque, several hundred worshipers chanted “death to the dictator” and “death to Khamenei”, referring to Iran’s Supreme Leader, according to eye witnesses.
