Iran tests hi-tech missiles aimed at naval targets

Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Jul. 07 – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that it had successfully tested hitting mobile naval targets in international waters with three hi-tech and radar evading missiles.

Tehran, Iran, Jul. 07 – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that it had successfully tested hitting mobile naval targets in international waters with three hi-tech and radar evading missiles.

IRGC Spokesperson Colonel Asqar Qelichkhani said the missile drill has two phases, the first of which consisted of hitting ground targets and the second consisted of hitting mobile naval targets. His remarks were carried by the state-run news agency Fars.

“In the second and last phase, three advanced and radar-evading missiles from the Khalij-e-Fars (Persian Gulf) and Tondar (Thunder) class, which are smart and also optimised, were fired at the specified mobile naval targets”, Qelichkhani said.
