Tehran, Iran, Jun. 11 – At least 23 people were killed in Iran due to flooding caused by Cyclone Gonu, state media reported on Sunday.

Gonu, which has left a trail of destruction in southern Iran, also brought about damages of more than $200 million, according to the state broadcasting corporation IRIB.

Hossein Bagheri, who heads the National Disaster Organisation, told IRIB that at least 1,850 villages in Sistan-va-Baluchistan, Kerman, and Hormozgan provinces had been affected.
