Tehran, Iran, Jul. 05 – Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will visit Iran in the coming weeks, Iranian state media reported.

Al-Maliki will hold talks with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

He will also visit Iraqi Shiite cleric Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, the leader of the Iran-backed Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (formerly Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq), who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in Iran.
