Tehran, Iran, Dec. 27 – A top commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday that the United States had mobilised two thirds of its resources and potential for media and psychological warfare.

The Commander of the IRGC Navy, Admiral Morteza Safari, told a gathering of top Navy commanders, “America’s strategy is to create a barrier against the emergence of fundamentals in any society to force whatever it wishes upon other nations”.

“The ruling regime (U.S.) has focused 60 to 70 percent of its capabilities on carrying out psychological warfare and a media war and is only using 30 to 40 percent of its capabilities on military equipment and economic actions”, Safari said.

He said that the elite Revolutionary Guards force was prepared to combat the enemy’s “threats” and “plots”.
