Tehran, Iran, Feb. 23 A fanatical group close to Irans hard-line rulers called Thursday on the Iraqi people to expel United States and British troops in Iraq following the attack on a holy Shiite Shrine in the Iraqi city of Samarra.
Irans Hezbollah issued a statement, announcing, Undoubtedly this bitter incident reaffirms the continuation of the bad situation in Iraq under occupation. Insecurity in this country is in the end the consequence of the occupation of this country by occupational governments, in particular the worlds two bully governments America and Britain.
The group called on the Iraqi government to create the groundwork as soon as possible for the departure of U.S. and British occupiers.
Wednesdays blast destroyed the golden dome of the Shrine in Samarra which was at the resting place of two revered Shiite Imams. It brought about a backlash of sectarian fighting as several dozen Sunni places of worship were attacked across Iraq.
More than 40 Sunni Muslim clerics have been murdered since the attack.
An extremist group based in Iraq posted a statement on the internet accusing Iran of being behind the bombings.
