Tehran, Iran, Mar. 10 A hard-line cleric called on the Iranian people on Friday not to fear the Islamic Republics referral this week to the United Nations Security Council over violations of its nuclear obligation.
Through patience and resistance the enemies plots will be rendered ineffective, Friday prayers leader Ahmad Khatami told worshippers in Tehran in a sermon that was broadcast on state television.
The God that has for 27 years of the existence of the Islamic Republic backed the Iranian nation will distance any plot from the Iranian people, and protect the Iranian nation; one must not fear the threats of the enemies, Khatami said.
We must be certain that the plots of the enemies will be ineffective.
The 35-nation Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency referred Tehrans nuclear file to the Security Council on Wednesday.
Addressing the West, the senior cleric said, Neither the threat of the Security Council nor the Security Council itself can frighten the devout Islamic nation of Iran.
