Tehran, Iran, Jun. 17 – Iran blamed United States-led forces in Iraq on Friday for insecurity in its western neighbour.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi blasted the Multi-National Force’s actions in Iraq, according to the state-run news agency Mehr.

He said that “foreign forces” were responsible for the “continuation of insecurity in Iraq”.

Asefi’s comments came as a suicide bomber carrying explosives in his shoes attacked Baghdad’s revered Shiite Baratha Mosque, killing 13 and wounding dozens.
