Hard-liners organise march against Israel in Iran capital

Tehran, Iran, Jul. 07 – Hard-line radicals affiliated to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps organised a rally against Israel in Tehran on Friday.

The protesters began their march at the end of Friday prayers in the Iranian capital.

Islamist radicals held banners reading, “Palestine, the land of revelations, is part and parcel of Islam” and “Noble Qods (Jerusalem) is the first mecca for Muslims and must be cleansed of the enemies’ existence, especially the militaristic Israelis”.

There were chants of “Death to Israel”, “Death to America”, and “Qods must be liberated”.

The rally was attended by top government officials including Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
