Tehran, Iran, Nov. 08 Irans Supreme Leader has appointed two brigadier generals to senior positions in the armed forces high command, state-run press reported on Wednesday.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the last word on all state matters, appointed on Monday Brigadier General Amir Hatami as chief of personnel in the armed forces high command.
Hatami replaces Brigadier General Yasini.
In a separate decree, Khamenei appointed Brigadier General Saeed Mojaredi to head the budget and planning office in the armed forces high command.
Mojaredi takes over the key post from Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi.
Iran has a dual military system with a regular armed rorces as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Both have their own Army, Navy, and Air Force and report directly to the Supreme Leader.
