TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran told world powers on Monday that a third round of U.N. sanctions would be illegal and would make the West’s row with the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program more complicated, the official IRNA news agency said.
“Any kind of illegal, unwise and illogical measure against Iran … will make the issue more complicated and difficult,” the deputy head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Saeedi, said the day the U.N. Security Council was expected to vote on another sanctions resolution.
