NEW YORK — Japan urged Iran on Wednesday to stop all uranium enrichment-related activities to dispel international concerns that Iran may be trying to develop nuclear weapons, a Japanese official said.

Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi told Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi that it is necessary for Iran to sincerely comply with all the requests included in International Atomic Energy resolutions, including the latest one adopted last week, the official told reporters.
