Tehran, Iran, Aug. 25 – An Iranian opposition activist was killed in the Swedish town of Lindsberg, on Monday by unidentified assailants, a Kurdish opposition website reported on Thursday.

Kaveh Zarei, 25, was a member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, a Kurdish group opposed to the Islamic regime in Iran.

He was killed by three unidentified men late at night, the group said.

Police said they have not yet established any motives for the crime, but investigations were continuing.
